Shafagh Azhandeh holds a BA in Fine Arts and has taught arts for over fourteen years . Her vision creates artworks that are mixed in textures and materials and are projected in an uncomplicated two-dimensional platform.

The simple shapes and raw colors reach to connect
with her audience and she believes that straight forwardness and beauty of her work are not
paradoxical, and rather complimentary.

The idea behind her paintings is to present the often ignored aspects of modern life aside from natural and sensational elements that are intertwined
with human life.
Shafagh is a solo and group exhibited artist locally and globally, as well as a philanthropist
always engaging in initiatives to help her fellow human.
As a new immigrant to Canada,  Shafagh experienced the challenge of adapting to a new
environment without ignoring the soul of her culture and compromising her roots. With support
of her husband, she worked very hard to accept change, spread her wings, belong and
contribute to the principles and communities that are close to her heart and held in highest
regards.
That endurance has paid off and Shafagh and her family now comfortably call Toronto home.
